Queen City Tune-Up

If you were to ask Michelle who she thinks has contributed most to women’s ultimate over the past five years, high on her list would be Phoenix captain and UNC-Chapel Hill coach Lindsey Hack.  If you ask her which college player fits that description, at the top of her list would be Phoenix captain and UNC-Chapel Hill captain Leila Tunnell.  Michelle, Lindsey, and Leila have competed against each other for a number of years, but over the past few years, have become friends and great supporters of each other’s work.  So when the opportunity to collaborate on QCTU arose, it was one that they all jumped at.  Add in UNC-Chapel Hill captain and QCTU TD Lindsay Lang, and you have one of the most fun and most experienced tournament running crews of all time.

QCTU has been the most competitive early-season East Coast tournament for the past few years and we’re all excited to build on that and bring more opportunities to the Atlantic Coast.  The date is set for February 12-13, 2011 in Charlotte, NC.  A qualifying event has been set for February 5-6 in Chapel Hill in order to accommodate more teams, and we hope to make QCTU an even bigger and more competitive tournament in the future.  LH, LT, LL, and N-G are ready to put on quite a show.
