Showdown Skills Clinics

In Spring 2011, Showdown will be running a series of skills clinics throughout the state of Texas.  These clinics will happen at various tournaments, as well as on other weekends.  Some of the clinics will be focused on individual skills, while other clinics will focus on the development of team skills and strategy.  A preliminary email to assess interest has been sent out to all of the college women’s teams in Texas.

Houston Antifreeze (January 29, 2011)
Showdown, in conjunction with players from other Texas teams such as Space City and Inferno, will be leading a skills clinic at Houston Antifreeze in January.  This clinic will cater to players on college teams from around the state.

Women’s College Centex (March 26, 2011)
Showdown players will be highly involved in running the clinic components of Women’s College Centex.  On Friday night, there will be a Women’s Leadership Forum, where a panel of current and former college coaches and captains will answer questions about team and program development.  Showdown players will serve on the panel as well as help facilitate the event.  Showdown players will also be serving as guest coaches in the Guest Coaching Program, designed to provide a development opportunity for young teams who may not have access to a coach.
